Report: 10% of Russian cars to run on electricity by 2030-minister

MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) – Russia will have 10% of all cars it produces run on electricity by 2030, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told RBC-TV on Monday.

""We expect that by 2030 we will reach the indicator of 10% of the total production volume, that it will account for electric cars, electric transport," Manturov said.

The smallest electric car Zetta can be launched into serial manufacturing in 2021, he said.

Moscow, which already has 600 electric buses, will replace all of the buses with electric vehicles by 2025. "Moscow is, for instance, number one city in Europe by the number of buses, there are about 600 of them, and the colleagues plan to leave only electric buses on the city routes by 2025," he said.

A production model of the Aurus car on hydrogen will be created by 2024, Manturov separately said.
